I was very sorry to see that Frederick Forsyth had died. It was a pleasure to work on the television adaptation of his semi-autobiographical Christmas Ghost Story, ‘The Shepherd’, in 2022, and I am very grateful that he signed my copy of his book.

Taff Quite. From 1982, I have a case where no war diary was created! The regiment had to play a sort of catch-up once they got home, but still didn't complete an AF C2118. The amount of retrospective (by weeks) war diary creation is worthy of more research.
