People outside of this state just don’t get it, man. Whether it be the largest domestic terrorism attack in US history, tornados wiping out entire towns, or being counted out for just being a small city. What a day for this city I’m lucky enough to call home.

Don’t let anyone tell you Oklahoma didn’t show out today. Incredible turn out. Incredible day for the city, state, fans and team.

The people of OKC will never forget this day. June 24, 2025 has been the single greatest day in our city’s history. The opportunity to celebrate OKC’s rise to sports immortality promised to be a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and it more than exceeded those lofty expectations. 🧵

I worked hard for 18 years to help bring a Major League Baseball team to Denver. I will spend the rest of my life helping to bring a Major League Baseball team to Denver.

Word is OKC fans were waiting in line overnight at Dick’s House of Sport to try to secure Jalen Williams meet and greet tickets. OKC chants today at Caruso’s Raising Canes gig and JDub’s Dick’s appearance.

Walker Monfort has a baseball background working for the grounds crew at Coors Field, being a gofer in the visiting teams locker room, selling corporate sponsorships and wearing his Rockies jacket around LoDo. He’s obviously ready and qualified to take over the worst MLB team.

Mark Daigneault & his coaching staff were the steady hands who guided our Thunder through a record-setting regular season & then to OKC’s first NBA Championship. In recognition of this historic accomplishment, I hereby proclaim that today is Mark Daigneault Day in Oklahoma City!
