Perfectly summed up. The baby would still have to be born. Why abort a healthy full term baby when there are people who would love to adopt it? Both can be traumatic for mother and baby but one recognises the intrinsic value of the fully formed child.

Starmer only backs a rape gangs inquiry now because a report told him to. Survivors have waited too long while he dithered. They need answers, not more delays. Justice can’t take another 10 years . There are many questions to answer still but this inquiry must be swift.

As of Friday, these disturbing elements of Kim's Bill are now set in stone*. MPs voting 'aye' at Third Reading will be accepting that: 🚨Any doctor, with no training, can raise ending a patient's life, no matter how vulnerable the patient [NC1 rejected] 🚨 Doctors and the

Spelling this out - the current Government position is that neither MPs, nor the media nor the public, will see the final text of the Bill BEFORE they are asked to decide whether it’s good enough.

Such a rushed debate. Just 46 minutes of back bench speeches and insanely fast windup speech by the Minister to fit her response into 10 mins. Perfectly highlights this debate has been too short. Such an embarrassing way to make law.

MPs voting on Friday need to watch this. This gets to the heart of the first vote on NC16 - this Bill doesn't care why someone wants to end their life - and the complete exclusion of family from the process (MPs have signed that off already) credit: No Way Back

The Speaker has confirmed that only five 'non Kim' amendments will be voted on on Friday. All these elements of the Bill are now permanent. A 'yes' vote at Third Reading is to accept: 🚨Any doctor can raise ending a patient's life, no matter how vulnerable the patient,

At second reading, MPs were told their concerns could be sorted at committee stage. At committee, they were told that problems could be fixed at report stage. And now, they are being told that the Lords can fix the bill. The bill is unfit for purpose. Vote it down.

We HAVE to reform welfare. But today's Benefits Bill isn't reform - it's panic, thanks to the fiscal crisis created by last year's budget. youtu.be/bsf2gpN8T4c

If the Assisted Dying Bill passes we will scrutinise it seriously. But elected MPs should be clear that as it is a PMB, amdmts are likely to be limited. MPs MUST be satisfied that the Bill in front of them on Friday is fit for purpose - if they are not, they should not pass it.

The House of Lords will not rescue a private member’s Bill. MPs who aren’t crystal-clear the Terminally Ill Adults Bill is safe have a moral duty to vote it down tomorrow. They can’t wash their hands of it.

.Kim Leadbeater MBE MP you are misleading the House before today’s vote. You know the Royal College of Psychiatry - the experts in capacity & coercion - has explicitly opposed your bill. It breaks my heart that you would use a sleight of hand to mislead MPs and the public in this way.

"This is the 3rd reading... Now we have to decide whether we should send this unworkable piece of legislation to the other place, which is unelected, to make decisions for us, because we are unable to come to a conclusion. We can't let this go through" Iain Duncan Smith MP Chingford & Woodford Green #AssistedDying
