Team members today continued to assist UWFRA in their search for a vulnerable missing person near Kettlewell.

Callout #Gunnerside well equipped walker slipped and heard a crack from his ankle as he fell over. Unable to walk #SMRT were called. Casualty was treated on the hill by team members and then stretchered back to Gunnerside to waiting ambulance. We wish him a speedy recovery.

2nd call out in 2 days #Gunnerside. An experienced walker slipped on wet grass and heard an ominous crack from ankle. Team members quickly assessed and treated her injuries before evacuating 1km on a stretcher over rough and very wet terrain. We wish her a speedy recovery.

Currently snowing heavily in Upper Swaledale all high routes likely to be icy and prone to drifting snow. Please plan journeys.
