NIH funding cuts could cost the U.S. $16 Billion and 68,000 jobs. An interactive tool from Joshua Weitz and team shows the local impact across the U.S. - down to the county level. This isn’t abstract - these numbers affect real communities and real lives: scienceimpacts.org

We now have a blood biomarker that is even more strongly associated with tau PET and cognitive symptoms than even p-tau217! eMTBR-tau243 will help us to understand whether cognitive impairment is likely to be related to Alzheimer's pathology. #ENDALZ nature.com/articles/s4159…

New Alzheimer blood biomarker! Plasma eMTBR-tau243 correlates strongly with tau tangle pathology, brain atrophy and cognitive decline. I believe it will complement p-tau217 in clinical practice and in many trials. rdcu.be/efPge

Can WashU Medicine stop Alzheimer’s before it starts? Could an "escape patient"— someone who was destined to develop Alzheimer’s but didn’t — hold the key to a breakthrough? Could our recent clinical trial pave the way for a drug that prevents Alzheimer’s? Learn more.

A highly accurate, new blood test developed by #WashUMedicine and Lund University can diagnose Alzheimer's and indicate its progression by measuring MTBR-tau243 protein levels. This advancement could help tailor treatment plans. bit.ly/4jaXov0
