when foursquare acquired superlocal, one of the things i was most excited about was getting a front-row seat to the relaunch of swarm. and today is that day… swarm is back!

nearly finished a cool feature we are calling “superlocal radar.” it makes push notifications 100x better thanks to @foursquare movement sdk will release it soon w/ a blog post on the tech/etc

timeline → check in → better recs → more check-ins → smarter map and place search that’s the superlocal flywheel: personalization that compounds every time you step outside and live your life

Google Maps tells you where everyone goes. Yelp tells you what everyone thinks. Superlocal tells you where you’ll like and why.

sunday app update to superlocal just went live. now when you get a push notification reminding you to check in, it opens right to the checking in flow

i genuinely think AI has has the ability to reinvent the mobile map and how we explore the world. it’s super surprising to me that it feels like a completely overlooked thing

i'm working on rebuilding the superlocal website... should i build this concept? it’s an interactive map for sharing your bookmarked places with friends... filter by place type, country, city, and more. would you use it/share it?

our fog of world feature that shows you the percent of the world you've explored is our most popular feature. using GPT-5, i nearly one shotted a widget that shows you clearing the map as you explore - just need to polish the design up now

should i build and ship this feature on superlocal i just started playing around with making? the ability to see all your countries visited, your bookmarks around the world, friend last check-ins, etc from a 3d view of the globe?
