Some binge-worthy albums I collected into a playlist from Reddit: music.apple.com/us/playlist/bi…. My best new-found album from the playlist: #Deltron3030. Check it out.

Of all the things I have ever assembled, this was probably the most fun - a "supercomputer" on the palm of your hand. Anything as powerful as this tiny machine would have needed a huge tower on your desk only 10 years back. We have come a long way. #RaspberryPi

A big reason for the ad tech backlash is retargeting—the creepy ads that follow you around. The irony is that retargeting is just about the least worrying thing about the surveillance economy. We notice it because it’s in our faces. But by being so obvious, it’s a mere annoyance.

Want a birds-eye-view of D3.js? wattenberger.com/blog/d3 I finally finished my MONGO "blog post" on the different parts of d3, grouped by similar functionality. I learned a ton of new methods. I hope you find it useful - I bet you'll learn something new even with a quick scan.

You've probably heard the quote "The best minds of my generation are thinking about how to make people click ads. That sucks." But why does it suck, exactly? In the thread below, I try and unpack the harms of ad targeting, based on the work of @HNissenbaum and Shoshana Zuboff.

Apple Pay has really changed the game. In the past, it always felt like a drag to buy online from a place where you didn’t already have an account (ie Amazon). Now Apple Pay makes it seem like you have an account everywhere. Address, credit card, everything prefilled ❤️

Apple Music is the worst piece of software built in-house at Apple. It's just a stupid webview. I understand they have to support multiple platforms but why not make native apps for their own platform and serve the webview shit on other platforms. #Apple #AppleMusic #DoBetter

When a music app takes more memory than multiple operating systems + a database + web services... Apple Music is a dumpster fire. Does not feel like an Apple product at all.

The very first computer game I played was Prince of Persia. No surprise that it predates me. I know now why the move-slow animation looked life-like. It was animated using a video capture of author’s brother doing the same move. Fascinating!
