Kudos to Air France for managing my lost luggage well. They left my bag in Paris during a layover. When we realised that in Bangalore, they quickly took down our details, gave a receipt, sent an email confirmation, called us the next day, and had it delivered home within 36hrs.

Over half of the residents of India’s five largest cities missed a day of work due to high temperatures. However, this climate-induced loss of productivity is far more likely to afflict poorer communities (as measured by asset ownership). Fascinating findings from Artha Global.

Another set of great findings from Artha Global's Centre for Rapid Insights. Only 26% of India's urban residents receive 24x7 piped water supply. While another 36% receive it daily (not constant), they need to incur significant costs for expensive tanks, pumps, etc.

Though India allows more work hours than Japan, these must be met every single week - unlike Japan, where they can be averaged over a month or year. The result? Japan may need fewer people to get the same outcome in a seasonal business. Another great insight from Prosperiti.

Latest newsletter from Artha Global Centre for Rapid Insights - over 55% in 8 North Indian states say they or a family member have experienced pollution-induced respiratory illness (not surprising). Here's the shocker, though - nearly a quarter of them do nothing about it!
