It's not a dragon and those aren't boulders. This is a very young newt, about 30mm long, making the mistake of crossing a busy cycle path. It may be a palmate or smooth newt - it's impossible to ID at this age. Duly rescued! Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Wiltshire Amphibian and Reptile Group BBCWildlifeMagazine
