Nursery Platt put on their listening ears today and went on a listening walk around school. We stopped along the way to hear some of the different sounds around school and in the environment.

Great turnout for our first Xcountry session of the season! Open to anyone in years 3-6 every Tuesday! First race is 15th November - Mr Royle has spare letters for anyone who wants more information!

This week in Nursery Platt we are learning about Diwali. The children have been looking at some traditions that take place during Diwali, such as henna tattoos and mendhi patterns. They loved being able to have their own henna tattoo today 😀

Nursery Platt have done lots of fun activities this week and have enjoyed learning about Diwali.

RS thoroughly enjoyed creating their own map of Boothstown. They created a potion picture using junk and paints, as well as learning a new poem called Rain 🌧️.

This week in Nursery Jones, we have been learning about the festival of Diwali✨. As part of our learning, we have made rangoli patterns, diva lamps and even had some mehndi pattern designs on our hands using henna tattoos. We have had lots of fun celebrating⭐️🪔!

Well done. Great book talks in 5CD this afternoon.

Over the last few days in Nursery Jones, we have been learning all about Remembrance Day. The children have been making their own poppies and today made a class fingerprint poppy field of Flanders Field to remember the soilders. Lest we forget❤️.

This morning Laura came into Nursery Platt to teach us some Indian dance moves. The children were amazing and had lots and lots of fun.

The children in Nursery Platt are raising money for Children in Need today. They have come dressed in their own clothes and we have done lots of Pudsey Bear activities this morning.

Nursery Jones enjoyed celebrating ‘Children In Need’ day today and raising lots of money for charity. We completed lots of Pudsey themed activities in the classroom💛.

A fantastic first Xcountry race this morning, with over 500 children taking part! Well done to all our runners, it gets easier each time you do it! Training on Tuesday and the next race is two weeks today! 🏃🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
