This morning I watched the whole of the Oval Office meeting - to see if anything could make sense of the shambolic way it ended. I'm even more impressed by Zelensky's composure & resolution after 50 minutes of bullying by a POTUS whose final remark was: 'It will make great TV".

An oasis in the east end. Today I visited St Saviour's Priory in Haggerston for the first time, with a small group from Southwark SCP Europe for a Lent quiet day. It's just down the road from St Chad's church, not far from Hoxton on the Windrush Line.

What a wonderful Mothering Sunday. We reflected on the parable of the Lost Sons and we wrote acrostic reflections on the theme of 'home'. Here's a small selection that spoke to me. I pray that we will live out and up to this vocation at St Luke's 🙏

Maundy Thursday traditions! At Southwark Cathedral this morning for a glorious Chrism Mass with Mother Jean, followed by returning to St Luke's for the final preparations for the Triduum. Nina has made a great start on the altar of repose for the watch tonight until midnight.

Flowers for Our Lady. The flower team have been busy today getting thr church ready for Easter. All these flowers Jane has arranged were picked this morning from around church! We will be celebrating the new life of Jesus - tonight at 8pm and 10am on Easter Sunday.

In 2022 and 2023, 2 cars crashed into our boundary wall at speed. Bricks and stone went everywhere, but thankfully no one was hurt. Today the council installed these bollards - to make the junction safer for pedestrians. Huge thanks to our local councillors for their help 🙏
