Weetabix Heinz Our volunteer crews are prepared to brave all sorts of windy conditions. But not this.

Some extremely wild and windy conditions out there this week. Please #BeCoastSafe and stay well back from breaking waves, which can easily sweep you out to sea.

Whenever the call to rescue comes our volunteers are ready drop everything. A flare sighting on Sunday night sparked a late-night search for Hoylake RNLI Lifeboat Station, who launched at 10pm. It was 2am by the time the boat had been washed down and refuelled, and the volunteers could head home.

Our thoughts are with all the families at this sad time. We hope Carl’s family will be given the privacy to find closure and space to grieve for their tragic loss. Their courage in fundraising for the RNLI during their darkest days will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Carl.

We're saddened by the news that the body of Carl McGrath has been found. Carl went missing along with Alan Minard & Ross Ballantine on the Conwy fishing boat Nicola Faith, for which our lifeboat crews searched for 90 hours. Our thoughts are with the friends & families involved.
