“How do you progress the Squat?”
It's one of the most common questions I get
I have a free guide on my yearly squat progression
I use this to smash PRs with athletes and in my own training
To get it:
1 Retweet this
2. Reply “SQUAT” below
I’ll DM it to you
Must be following
One rep maxes are not the only strength measurement
Examples of improved strength:
- Athlete did 135x5 - can now do 135x8
- Zero Chin Ups to 3 legit Chin Ups
- Same weight with much better control
- Moving the same weight with greater speed
Big Trap Bar’s propaganda had us fooled
Straight bar deadlifts aren’t the boogeyman. Far less kids will struggle to get into a good sumo position than will struggle to hit depth with good technique on a back squat
Trap bar is great for power work, but I prefer sumo for strength
Unpopular opinion (shocker, I know), but to be truly great at something, it has to become part of your identity.
Not your ENTIRE identity, but some of it.
This is your mind’s way of putting skin in the game when you go all in on something.
🚨🚨🚨
This is a terrible take
If by “magic” you mean synthetic testosterone and anabolic steroids, then no there’s no “magic” in the back squat
(Insert jerk off motion)
Cry baby Gerry at it again
Complaining and whining. Do you realize how slow this is?? Athletes should be able to run this without getting hurt LMAO
Maybe you’re not preparing him enough in that hallway of yours
