Thank you, Alison Bennett, for a great intervention today championing the English wine industry. I'm proud to represent top-class Sussex producers like Rathfinny Estate, Ridgeview Wine and Breaky Bottom – now let’s see real backing from the government to help them thrive.

Bigger contraction than forecasters were expecting following awful April and driven by drop in hospitality. The last 6 months have shown that the economy only grows when hospitality is strong - ministers need to deliver plan for recovery and growth

On The Chancellors watch, we have seen more Hospitality closures than ever before. The industry predicted this would happen. Unforgivable.

Hospitality is the beating heart of our economy and communities, but we’re being #TaxedOut. We are calling on the Gov't to act in the Budget. ✅Lower business rates ✅Fix NICs ✅Cut VAT We’re making our voice heard & we need yours too. Find out more 👉ukhospitality.org.uk/campaigns/taxe…

Other countries support hospitality with a lower VAT, hospitality in the UK pays a full 20%. The EU average VAT on hospitality is 10%-13%. The Government should follow the majority of European rival nations by reducing VAT on the sector. #TaxedOut

We have already lost 69.000 jobs this year in hospitality and if these forecasts are correct a further 5000 jobs will go in pub sector alone and we will lose the heart and job of our communities #TaxedOut news.sky.com/story/a-pub-a-…

Why is Lammy & The Labour Party dishing out £70,000,000 of our money to Singapore, a country that ranks 4th in the world of GDP per capita? A country sixteen places above The U.K.

"The tax bill on a high street restaurant is twice the tax bill of a major bank, as a percentage of their profits," Allen Simpson told Talk. The unjust tax bill facing hospitality is forcing them to be #TaxedOut. Join our calls for action: ukhospitality.org.uk/campaigns/taxe…

In the last twelve months, Hospitality has lost more jobs than any other sector. 108,000 fewer jobs in total. The Govt urgently needs to start recognising the UKs 3rd biggest employer needs support.

2009 profit on a pint 84p. 2025 profit on a pint 12p. We’re being squeezed at every angle. We’re losing pubs every day.

A reminder that UK hospitality guests are the most highly taxed in Europe - paying the highest prices because our businesses are #TaxedOut

Successive Governments have both ignored and let Hospitality down. Its the UKs 5th biggest sector and the UKs 3rd biggest employer. Every day our local papers are reporting on the loss of our pubs, restaurants, bars, live music venues etc. Enough is enough, drastic action
