Funerals are beginning to take place for those killed in Israel's attack on Iran, including Mehdi Rabbani, former Deputy Chief of Operations of Iran's Armed Forces. What was not reported at the time was that his wife and son were also killed, implying that he was killed at home.

A shocking number of Iranian academics were killed by Israel in its war against Iran. On many occassions, entire families were wiped out. In total, 27 professors and students were killed, plus a further nine experts who were working in industry.

Two nuclear armed states bombed Iran, assassinated the country's military leaders, flattened the state television building - and even blew open the gates of Evin prison. And the best that Reza Pahlavi can do is parade around London in a Range Rover.

My parents used to make me and my sister stand up in front of our guests at dinner parties and perform this song. Looking back, I have no idea why.

Two things are becoming clear: 1. Sharaa is learning the hard way that Israel will never accept a populist Islamist government on its border. 2. Turkey as a patron has no leverage or political will to deter Israel or even impose a cost on Israel's actions in Syria.

People who are spreading misinformation like this aren't trying to convince you that it's fake - they are trying to convince themselves that it's fake. It's a coping mechanism to reconcile their support for genocide.

The US is gearing up to invade Latin America while the US President threatens to deploy US military forces to quell domestic dissent. Meanwhile, a US vassal is bombed by a dependent US ally. We are living the convulsions of US imperial decline. It was never going to be pretty.

Iran targeted a US military installation in an act of retaliation and forewarned Qatar of the strike. Israel launched an unprovoked attack on civilian infrastructure. There is a huge difference and the implications of Israel's attack far exceed Iran's performative strike.

Unlike Yemen and Iran, Qatar enjoys extensive influence throughout Western capitals and commands an army of lawyers, lobbyists, and private sector executives who can sway policy and public opinion in ways that Yemen and Iran could only dream of. I wouldn't underestimate them.

While this debunks Israeli claims that 99% of Iranian missiles were intercepted, it also shows that Iran's relatively destructive reach still did not deter a further Israeli attack (the 12-day war). It remains to be seen just how destructive the 12-day war was on Israel.
