🚨The Prime Minister Keir Starmer was absolutely right that ‘Losing a farm is not like losing any other business. It can’t come back’. Which is why Rachel Reeves must be clear that there will be no changes to APR, as pledged by Steve Reed MP.

Doubling down does nothing to resolve #familyfarmtax dispute. £5bn fails to reflect harder, faster phase-out of Basic Payment Scheme, BPR changes, increase in employers’ national insurance, terrible trade deals, slow & inadequate roll-out of ELMs / SFI, impact on tenanted sector

The #Chinese government announced that high temperatures are expected to impact grain in major #wheat-growing areas, particularly in Henan, which accounts for 27% of China’s total wheat production. However, the extent of the damage remains unknown.

Thank you Gateshead Council National Highways: North-East for turning on the traffic lights on the coal house roundabout you have successfully caused major traffic issues even during non rush hour, the lights on the south side block the traffic down the team valley and up on to the A1 heading south!

So Rachel Reeves is going to raise taxes, including income tax, and at the same time, she will scrap the two-child benefit cap, increasing benefits. Why should taxpayers fund other people having more than two kids? This is deeply unfair. Labour have the wrong priorities.
