I'm supposed to be in Salisbury for a friend's funeral, we first met through Twitter then in real life through cycle campaigning, he was a lovely guy. Trains from Waterloo have been absolutely kyboshed today, at around 1130 I knew there was no way I would make it. Sorry, Tom 😘

This came up as FB memory, I was at a Welcome to Yorkshire reception at UK ambassador's residence last day of 2013 TdF to mark Grand Depart. Mad to think there were tens of thousands of people other side of the wall behind me on Champs-Elysees who had no idea this was here.

Today's work shift much enlivened by me turning up at a restaurant in Islington, the staff realising they had just given my order to a moped rider by mistake, and them sprinting 50 yards up Upper Street to retrieve it from him 😅
