I love this Jennifer Bouek paper. WAITLISTS ARE POLITICAL. MA's subsidized #childcare waitlist fell from 60k to 15k over 5 yrs—not bc families got subsidies but bc an audit drew attn to the list. Now, those who don't respond to a mailed letter are purged. rsfjournal.org/content/9/5/76
