ASEAN Interim Observer Team (IOT), led by the Malaysian Defence Attaché to Cambodia and joined by resident and non-resident Defence Attachés, conducted an observation visit to the Boeung Trakoun Border Checkpoint in Banteay Meanchey Province on August 14.

Our soldiers said: “This land is ours, these are our people’s homes, our people have lived here for a long time. Look clearly — why do you all come in without informing us? Whatever we do, we always inform you, out of respect, because we do not want problems.”
