Tomorrow MPs will be voting on proposals that include a £2 billion attack on the sick and disabled. 750,000 of the poorest could lose £3,000 a year from cruel cuts to Universal Credit. Once again, I’ll be voting against. I’m in politics to make people’s lives better, not worse.

This is why I will be voting against the Bill today. I remember the immense suffering & deaths caused when George Osborne forced through benefit cuts like this. The government should concentrate on helping people deal with their illness & disability not harming them in this way.

This cannot stand

In the space of 2 weeks my adult son went from a toothache to being rushed to hospital with sepsis. Had emergency surgery, spent 4 days in hospital all because he couldn't get a #dentist or #doctors appointment. Fix the foundations Wes Streeting before people end up in hospital
