I rely on doctors to keep me alive. If my heart wobbles and they arent there, im screwed. Yet i support the strike by junior (resident) doctors. Because someone whose bust a gut for years to qualify, who saves lives, is worth 22 quid an hour. Its not complicated.

Solidarity with our English resident doctor colleagues as they start their strikes. Doctors are not worth less than 18years ago. Volume of work is higher, staffing levels are lowest ever, job security is gone, and medical complexity +++. They do not do this lightly.

Doctors ARE the BMA. Doctors ELECT their colleagues to BMA leadership. Doctors VOTE for action when governments continually fail them and their patients.
