Looks like DeAngelo was on the ice for the second and third goals against, and saw one shift since (on the NYR power play in the second period). Yet to take the ice in the third. Viz via ShiftChart

Turris' success in the 12/3 TBL game came when he was paired with Jarnkrok, in line with their success in limited minutes so far. Halfway through (see: ShiftChart), the line was changed to Turris-Sissons-Carr due to the Johansen major. This will be something to watch. 15/15

In case you were wondering who Eakins think his top guns are... always fascinating to see coaching choices for critical moments! Greg Troyer

since Dan habes are talking a lot about "depth" and how depth changes the roster and the way you roll lines, look at the attached from ShiftChart. you cannot. cannot. cannot. continue to roll 10F and win consistently. guys burn out. it doesn't work.

I'm going to be thinking about this sequence for a long time. 1) too many men penalty, down a goal in an elimination game, with 2 mins left 2) send RNH/Drai/Bear/Klefbom for the short-handed d-zone face-off (from ShiftChart)

ShiftChart 3) This is after RNH+Drai just finished a 50+ second shift 4) Now, RNH/Drai have been on for ~two minutes with a minute left in the game 5) They change, and send out McDavid-Neal-Archibald-Russell-Nurse (not Yamo or AA, btw)

One thing I think about a lot is when Alex Ovechkin took a five minute shift in a random December game against the Blue Jackets.

Rob C. Coach Conall Kakko was not benched ShiftChart. I really dont get the icetime Q's. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd lines all got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line minutes. Maybe Panarin/Strome got too much, but are you sitting them or trying to get them going?

Whenever I see a highlight reel goal of a F (even if not 97) blowing by flatfooted D-men, I always wonder how those D-men's legs are. A 1 min shift late in 3rd is too long, even if that is the desired match up.
