SCAS BASICS new Unit ER102 (Purchased through a grant from HELP Appeal Via BASICS_HQ & conversion by SCASCharity) has been continuing to get out & about in the lovely weather here in Tropical Hampshire! In the few months we have had it operational it has been to 128 Incidents!

Our SCAS BASICS team ethos is "Promoting Clinical Excellence, Enhancing Patient Outcomes & Supporting Peers" In doing so we work with many local partners to achieve these goals including South Central Ambulance Service SCASCharity Hants & IOW Air Amb Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service Hampshire Police Hampshire Roads Policing Unit HM Coastguard RNLI

The chain of survival is vital and it works, recent incident, witnessed collapse in public, immediate CPR and then AED attached 2 shocks and ROSC achieved before I got there and ROSC sustained. And signs it’s going to be a complete recovery, the public were the life savers here.

Great to be able to get these Great Western Air Ambulance Charity two sided pocket cards to our local South Western Ambulance Service crews. One side looks at how can critical care can help how to get advice. The other an aid guide to help crews prepare patients for critical care arrival, saving time and optimising patient care.

A new critical care car has been added to the Hants & IOW Air Amb fleet in #Hampshire thanks to a donation of £38,265 from the HELP Appeal!
