Ruth Bennett LPT1984 @WavertreeCllrs Do you lot just back each other up? Everyone wants a Lidl but it is obvious that many also care about Wavertree being, a council defined, conservation area, with recognised nationally important buildings. Would it be beyond us to try and get the best possible #Lidl 4 #wavertree?
SavetheAbbey Ruth Bennett LPT1984 @WavertreeCllrs Not sure why people buy into this narrative that a multi billion pound company with no local links would ever have put local people and community first. This was always about market saturation, stifling independent traders and increasing car traffic at the cost of heritage.
6/6 Museum of Making at Derby Silk Mill Derby Museums has been nominated for the sustainable development of its 1721 silk mill.
Really was in a state, pic is c2011, now rescued, listed II*, part of the new Elsecar Ironworks Scheduled Ancient Monument, and a stunning home for two amazing creative photographers, interior designers, a bridal boutique and grooms outfitters too. Elsecar Heritage Centre
Hopeful that @MayorLpool & her new administration will recognise: That SavetheAbbey is a local & resident-led campaign The opportunity to demonstrate a new approach to property/regen/heritage The potential for soc ents & creatives to use additional space in the building
It was a pleasure to welcome my friend Lisa Nandy MP to Wavertree today. I was able to introduce her to the team LoveWavertree and tell her all about the amazing work they are doing in our community. Thank you to Lisa for taking the time to visit.
Thanks to my good friend Paula Barker for showing me around Wavertree. It was great to meet LoveWavertree and see the work theyβre doing in the community, and to chat Levelling Up and much more with Wavertree CLP πΉ
Tony McDonough Clare McIntyre Well done to everyone who campaigned and made the case to accommodate both the supermarket and the historically significant building
