The share of voters who support a woman's right to get an abortion "for any reason if she wants one" continued to increase in 2024 to 58%. 12 years ago it was 42%!

I'm horrified to hear that Charlie Kirk was shot at an event in Utah. Democratic societies will always have political disagreements, but we must never allow America to become a country that confronts those disagreements with violence. Mark and I are praying for Charlie's

I’m Jay Jones, running for Attorney General. Unlike anti-abortion extremist Jason Miyares, I’ll always protect Virginians' fundamental rights — including stopping an abortion ban. Watch my new ad, "Decision."

Oof this is both strategically AND morally wrong. The states listed as examples literally all had pro-choice ballot measure victories. Blocking politicians from making personal healthcare decisions during pregnancy is VERY popular. More popular than the Democratic Party FWIW.

To single out abortion as the place for compromise is to ignore the political reality of the last three years. And in a moment when the stakes are so high—as women are literally dying—being both confidently wrong and hugely influential is straight up dangerous. Read my new

Women in Virginia deserve to know that their reproductive rights are protected here. Winsome Earle-Sears supports banning abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest. Virginia, hear me when I say — as Governor, I will always protect your reproductive freedom.

INTERESTING: - Democratic orgs are running ads in the districts of GOP members for voting to shutdown gov't b/c they won't fund health care, making costs go up. - GOP orgs are running their "blame game" ad in DC and NYC. 👀Telling reveal of how this is going.

South Carolina is attempting to do what Louisiana couldn’t 3 years ago: make abortion a crime punishable by death Theyre also introducing a bill that would ban birth control, force students to watch propaganda videos, restrict IVF, & make ALL info about abortion online illegal

Draft Jon Stewart for President 2028 (@stewart_2028) 's Twitter Profile Photo

For years, MSNBC has tried unsuccessfully to convey the risks of depression and suicide among trans youth and them being denied care, while Jon Stewart managed to do it in a couple minutes. He is the right leader for right now.

My opponent Delegate David Owen does not believe in a woman's right to control her own body. He's been fighting for years to ban abortion, and now he's been endorsed by a group that believes a 10-year-old rape survivor should have been forced to carry her pregnancy to term. Virginia

This is the most extreme abortion ban ever introduced in South Carolina and it’s an egregious attack on autonomy, privacy, speech, and safety. We CANNOT stay silent.

Virginia is the last line of defense for reproductive rights in the South — and women in Virginia deserve to know that it will stay that way. My position is clear: as Governor, I will always protect reproductive freedom in Virginia.

ICYMI: Winsome Earle-Sears called abortion “wicked,” and said she is “morally opposed” to reproductive freedom. She supports an abortion ban with no exceptions for rape or incest — a position that is just too extreme for Virginia.

My opponent’s hateful attacks target me because of my faith. For three decades, I taught American literature and the texts that define the values of our nation: justice, equality, and freedom. It’s too bad John Reid never learned about Jefferson’s Statute for Religious Freedom.

I don’t think wanting a complete ban on abortion including in cases of rape - and comparing it to slavery - represents the values of the RVA region.
