Telemedicine has pros/ cons. A challenge in pediatrics is to get a sense of the dynamics of the relation between the child and the family. There are many things I observe in the in person consultation that are difficult through teleM. Interesting topic. Learning and adapting.

Contact tracing is key. Uruguay with limited resources but centralized and coordinated plan of agressive contact tracing and isolation of cases, contacts and travelers has 11 deaths/million. With 3.5 million people there are only 4 critical cases. Without closing the country.

A comprehensive model with interdisciplinary care and equal access is key. Unfortunately, treatment is frequently determined by availability, coverage and costs and not by scientific evidence or practitioner preferred recommendations.

Fundamental, basic, deadly error in Atlas press conference: "The purpose of testing is to stop people from dying, from getting a serious illness." This is SO WRONG. In an epidemic, you test to stop spread before it gets to vulnerable people. Spread anywhere is a risk to everyone.
