When teaching undergrads how to do research in philosophy, I typically tell them to use a combo of Google Scholar and the relevant topics page of PhilPapers. Are there other resources you have found useful for undergraduate research?

I feel like niche issues in epistemology and metaphysics are really not covered enough in philosophy’s top general journals… (p.s. I love m&e but also love value theory).

Is anyone aware of a list or resource that summarizes the most common review policies at journals across various disciplines? I want to know, in general, whether certain fields use single, double, or triple blind review. Or if some don’t even use blind review at all.

*Philosophers* I'm the book review editor at the Journal of Moral Philosophy. We have a pile of books looking for reviewers. If interested in reviewing a book in ethics/political/action that came out in 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025, please keep reading. And please share this too!

There’s irony in this poll, but nonetheless…most academics on Twitter would be better off if they spent less time on Twitter and more on their teaching and research.

I don’t understand how Coldplay hate became a default attitude among alternative and indie folks. Their first 4 albums are incredible. Starting at Mylo Xyloto, there is a decrease in quality, but most bands don’t even make 4 good albums to begin with.
