to the best of my knowledge, Sheinbaum was an establishment candidate, hand chosen and from the same party as AMLO. Can anyone explain/guess why the anti-incumbent wave- that has characterized elections across countries for the last several years- wasn’t true in Mexico?

It is such a thrill to be the lead article in the new American Political Science Review! @Chris_W_Blair and I show that hurricane exposure increases concern about and support for policies to address climate migration & climate action, leveraging the quasi-experimental case of Hurricane Ian

In American Political Science Review, Sabrina Arias and @Chris_W_Blair show that individuals affected by Hurricane Ian reported increased support for climate policy action and more positive attitudes towards climate migrants for up to six months after the hurricane. cambridge.org/core/journals/…

Hi everyone! Has anyone come across useful papers/blog posts/etc that discuss the inferential challenges of using COVID-19 as an exogenous shock?

Are you hoping to hold a book workshop for a (nearly) complete manuscript, but don't have access to institutional funds? Our department has an open call for applications for a book workshop to be hosted here at Lehigh! ir.cas.lehigh.edu/textor-manuscr…

Does your department have a policy about how much co-authored vs. solo-authored work count towards T&P? Is it a formal or informal rule? If you could share this info with me (will remain anonymous!) I am trying to get a sense of whether there are clear norms across the field!
