I’m relieved to see the reports of children and women released. UNICEF continues to call for an end to grave child rights violations and any form of violence against children in the State of Palestine and Israel.   All children must be protected.   This violence must end.

.UNICEF welcomes news of a pause in fighting in Gaza and is ready to scale up our humanitarian response. Unimpeded access to reach children—wherever they are—with life-saving support is desperately needed.   The death and destruction must stop.
