The BBC found evidence that Israeli forces are deliberately sniping Palestinian children — aiming for the head and chest. Over 60% of the murdered kids were shot with precision.

Your party tried to close the library, the last remaining community asset in Nelson, Caerphilly this year. It's only still open because local people put in a judicial review. That's why Reform are even in with a chance, because you've completely failed.

This isn’t Gaza today, it’s Yafa in 1948. No Hamas, no October 7. Just the same story repeating itself: erase, then occupy.

In the end it wasn't even close in Caerphilly, which was never going to go to Reform easily. There is a lot of anti-Faragism out there & campaigners put in a monumental effort too. Plaid's victory is huge and puts them in pole position for 2026, but much harder battles to come.

Remember that the previous MS for Caerphilly, Hefin David, was not unpopular and died very young in tragic circumstances. Often in these situations, David's party would have won comfortably in the subsequent by-election. But Labour lost 35% of the vote! That tells you everything.

It's also important to say that 36% is still a very healthy result for Reform and the party is not going away. There will be more favourable terrain for them than Caerphilly and in a PR system next year, a third of the vote would be huge.

Not even the most hackish Welsh Labour types are this batshit delusional. Perhaps because, despite all their faults, they do at least have some grip on reality and don't see *absolutely everything* through the lens of 'Keir Starmer is advancing the class struggle, actually.' 😂

Let's also take a moment to reflect on the fact that the Tories - who had major designs on Wales after the 2019 general election - got just 2% of the vote and only 690 votes. That's terminal.

Farage's bubble has never been as big as liberal commentators made out in the first place. Caerphilly proves that. But it's equally mistaken to predict his demise based on a FPTP by-election where the anti-Reform vote could neatly coalesce.

And next year's Senedd elections are on a PR model. Reform are on course to get a third of the seats and become the second biggest party, a huge ascent. But had they won in Caerphilly - and they threw everything at it - we would be in far more disastrous territory today.

Normally, I'd look at the papers, listen to the radio, or watch the telly to see the reaction to the result of an election. With this one, I don't see the point. They've made themselves completely irrelevant. They spent the last week saying that the turnout would be at a record
