Our new reality, I suppose 🙄 “They offer ‘Band-Aids’ to take care of symptoms of the problem rather than deal with the structural causes of the problem” (Solorzano & Bernal, 2001)

For the 1000th time Vini gets subjected to racist abuse from fans only to be punished for his reaction. Literally gets put in a chokehold and then receives a red card for slapping the man away. Everyone blaming him, like he’s supposed to just sit back and take it. Disgusting.

Manuel Rustin LALIGA Valencia CF This is maddening. LALIGA #togethervsracism campaign is clearly falling way way way short. LALIGA needs to learn how to walk the walk, not just try and look good with hashtags.

A Message to my Neighbors: I am a San Gabriel Valley kid. This Valley raised me, just as it will raise my son. Little League baseball, football in the street, Friday’s at the Theatre, Saturday’s at the Mall, everyday, all day rocking my Vans. It’s home, the SGV is home. (1/6)

Target apparently telling Budweiser to hold its beer. Corporations are showing that they don’t *really* care about social issues and that violence and threats against them definitely work. Not surprising at all, but disappointing nonetheless.

“One of the things that I don't like about blaming things on Suge is that it takes away Tupac's own agency. Tupac didn't seem like the kind of guy that would let someone influence him to do something that he didn't want to do”

Yesterday evening, I saw a photograph that reminded me of my mortality, and the mortality of my loved ones. I hope you all will remember your own mortality, and try to enjoy the time you can spend with your loved ones today, and every day.
