A flock of 9 Kittiwake high upriver by Tate Modern this morning. I've now seen more Kittiwake than Black-headed Gull so far this month!! I hadn't seen this species here before this year, but this is now the third sighting. Not sure what's going on! #londonbirds

My 7th patch tick this year! Heard it call once but didn't see it initially - so I walked back upriver in the hope it had come down somewhere. Fortunately for me it did, on this huge buoy in the middle of the river. Waders super hard here so very happy with this! #londonbirds

Context is everything! Song Thrush is a super scarce bird at Tate Modern so it’s been good to have this one hanging around. It has got bolder during its stay, yesterday perching briefly on the nearby houses with Blue and Great Tit in attendance #londonbirds

Was over the moon to find this Dartford Warbler on Hampstead Heath today! It seems to be the first here since 1994, and only the second modern record Hampstead Heath #londonbirds

My best ever year at Tate Modern with 67 sp, including 9 patch ticks. Doesn’t sound much but its bang in the middle of central London. Makes me wonder what I could’ve got if I’d covered it properly when I was working in the office 5 days instead of the current 2! #londonbirds
