There’s a level of outrage today about Richard Colbeck not knowing how many people in aged care have been vaccinated. Let’s not forget this is the same Minister who, in August 2020, did not know how many people in aged care had DIED from the virus.

It blows my mind that the government outsourced aged care vaccinations to a private company and ONLY contracted them to vaccinate residents, NOT STAFF. How do they think covid-19 will most likely enter an aged care facility. VIA THE STAFF!!!

We are shocked to find out today - after being repeatedly told otherwise by the Fed Govt - that the contractors who are meant vaccinate staff have not been given this job! Unions have been telling workers they would get vaccinated at work

Even when it was clear it would be quicker for aged and disability workers to go to a vaccination hub we still understood the “in reach” (ie on site and at work) program would be happening. How dare the Govt blame workers for not getting vaccinated
