Cincinnati is such a shithole people are filling up expensive-to-rent apartments in the city at greater rates than the suburbs. "Even with the new supply downtown, the city of Cincinnati’s vacancy rate is around 6% lower than the region’s at large." bizjournals.com/cincinnati/new…

Gonna have to look up those highlight throws from Ichiro and Bo Jackson but instant reaction, this one feels a tad more impressive

We need more scenes like this in our cities. If we build more homes for families, ppl can make the choice to remain in the city and raise their children there instead of being forced out into the periphery. More families means better neighborhoods, and ultimately better cities.

Or you could manipulate the system to work in your favor by signing guys early, on your timeline, and for (likely) less money. Just a thought

The interesting thing is that Cincinnati *is* growing, both at a regional and municipal level, *despite* significant pushback against new housing. Makes you wonder what the city could be capable of if it got serious about new development, because the assets are there.

The absolute meltdown over a 3am bar fight, involving at least one Russian national, preceded by racist and ageist remarks against a group of Black people amid a weekend celebration of Black culture, where no one died and CPD/HCPO have mobilized maximally…

When city wide crime is falling significantly, metro data shows the Cincinnati region is one of the safest cities in the country, with far lower violent crime levels than most of its peer cities, and CPD has one of the best clearance rates in the state… Be mad though, I guess.

Not only does this win feel like more than one win, this series win feels like more than a series win. The Reds have gutted out some tough wins and are really showing how much they've improved since the last time they played the Cubs.
