Took the 21 home after the eclipse.

Spending $568,000,000.00 to extend an interstate highway into a predominantly black neighborhood in the year of our lord 2024 is unconscionable

The majority of cities that have built modern streetcar systems are expanding them

Cincinnati has one of the highest ridership systems in the country and potential to grow even more by expanding the system and improving speeds with transit-only lanes & optimizing signal timing

Now that SORTA and the City of Cincinnati have solved the blockages on the 500 block of Main, the top three 3 locations for delays are on Walnut.

A transit-only lane on Walnut will speed up service on 14 Metro routes & fix the three biggest problem spots for the streetcar.

Is there any reason that Cincinnati Metro doesn't post the SORTA Board minutes in a timely fashion anymore? They used to go up the week of the meeting, but now it's April and the most recent minutes are from January.

Nationwide transit ridership is down -26% compared to pre-pandemic levels, but the Connector is bucking that trend by setting record after record with ridership up a whopping 185% compared to 2019.

It’s very possible that the current $3.6 billion estimate will need to be revised upward yet again.

Meanwhile traffic has been falling for more than a decade.

Have there been any negative impacts from the Norwood Lateral being shut down?

I haven’t seen anything about it in the news.

Cars are incapable of existing in cities without degrading everything around them. They devour space supplanting productive uses, block sidewalks, slow transit, are the primary source of visual, noise and air pollution and are used to hit, hurt and kill people on foot or bikes.

The Cincinnati Streetcar can hold 171 passengers. If all of those riders were driving alone & in single file, the line of cars would stretch from the Banks to 12th street in Over-the-Rhine.

We need to prioritize transit, the most efficient use of our limited street space.
