A transit-only lane on Walnut will speed up service on 14 Metro routes & fix the three biggest problem spots for the streetcar.

Cars are incapable of existing in cities without degrading everything around them. They devour space supplanting productive uses, block sidewalks, slow transit, are the primary source of visual, noise and air pollution and are used to hit, hurt and kill people on foot or bikes.

The Cincinnati Streetcar can hold 171 passengers. If all of those riders were driving alone & in single file, the line of cars would stretch from the Banks to 12th street in Over-the-Rhine.

We need to prioritize transit, the most efficient use of our limited street space.
