Any chance to see a John Sayles film should not be missed but this is one of his very best and screening @Glasgow film so a definite must see.

Real pleasure to listen to Katherine Grainger and Matthew Pinsent on #BBCOlympics - insightful, knowledgeable, cliche-free, thoughtful. Would that others could emulate this rather than the shouty stuff we often get.

⚠️🚨 A reminder of the dangers of our thrilling sport ‼️ We're so relieved there were no broken bones for Emil Sayfutdinov and Chris Harris in this incident last night 🙏 📹 British Speedway Network #⃣ #SHEIPS #britishspeedway🇬🇧

End of an era as Rob Bonnet steps down from #R4Today Always a joy to listen to and willing to give other sports a fair hearing rather than just the Premier League. He’ll be missed!

One of the reasons why John Murray is one of the best around is that even in the hurly-burly of a Premier commentary he’s aware that not everyone listening is fixated on the top division. Acknowledging those of us coming back from early round FA Cup matches was appreciated. 👍

For any HaringeyBorough fan wanting to relive Saturday’s game (maybe I should rephrase that…..) here’s a neutral’s view of the day from substack via BlueSky unexpecteddelirium.substack.com/p/in-the-shado…

Suburban sky tonight - some talk that we might be treated to the northern lights again tonight but the moon is already up and shining brightly #sunset

Just imagine how upset ‘Bobby J’ (daughter’s middle name Thatcher) is going to be when he finds out which British PM signed the 1984 declaration agreeing to return Hong Kong to China

Was this really 35 years ago? I remember it so well - along with the second leg in Munich when we could have gone through with a bit more luck. Great piece by Phil Gordon and well worth a read. #HeartsStandard #Heartsfc

All hypothetical of course but if we’d managed to hold onto the leads we’ve given up at Coles Park since the end of September we’d have an extra 18 points (as many as we currently have) and be tenth, in amongst the play-off hopefuls, rather than struggling to avoid relegation.🤔

JillyWhizz Hi Jilly, if you, or anyone else, is interested in Ken Buchanan's life there is a film (which got a cinema premier back in October this year) which has been lovingly put together by director Jamie Steedman
