Building on last year's successful multilateral peer exchange & learning event on Beneficial Ownership (BO), UNODC, Stolen Asset Recovery Initiative @World Bank/UNODC & Open Ownership host a 3-day regional convergence of stakeholders from 6 African countries to discuss progress, challenges, & opportunities.

Day 1: stocktaking on BO & Asset Recovery (AR) journey. Insightful presentations made by representatives from: ✔️Nigeria ✔️Kenya ✔️Liberia ✔️Seychelles ✔️South Africa & ✔️Zambia. Today, we deep dive into more peer learning & enhanced knowledge of BO Transparency.

Day 2 was more in-depth & practical. ✔️ Explored the intersection between Beneficial Ownership transparency & asset recovery ✔️ Engaged in real-world exercises & more. For the final day, we focus on translating insights to real impact. Thanks to US Dept of State INL for the support.

And it's a wrap! 3 productive days of discussions, knowledge sharing, forged collaborations & peer learning. Here is to stronger accountability & transparency across the region.
