Wouldn’t it be nice to invest in our own culture like this? Instead we have a Brexit fanatic government that has trashed English arts opportunity and culture… waving tiny plastic faux-patriotic flags in our faces as they sell off the family silver. euronews.com/culture/2023/0…

The UK public now regrets Brexit more than at any other point, with a majority wanting Rejoin. This is according to two separate pollsters: YouGov and Deltapoll - who have both found 51% say they want to rejoin - and that’s *before* removing “don’t know”. pollingreport.uk/articles/brexi…

"The last time you spoke in the Commons was 7th June 2022. You have not maintained a constituency office for a considerable time, and it’s widely understood that you have not held a surgery in Flitwick since March 2020." ~AA

Are you the same guy who dropped his house building targets? Because I’m the guy who started building more council homes than the rest of England combined, exceeded your affordable homes targets & built more homes of any kind than since the 1930s. This is desperate nonsense.

So, a tiny firm, with no experience in PPE, that was introduced via the ‘VIP lane’ by a Tory peer, pocketed £20m+, did not deliver, changed its name, and, on being sued, its offshore parent company conveniently went into liquidation. Seems legit. ~AA theguardian.com/politics/2023/…

Utterly disgusting tweet. Russophobia? That country invaded another and you expect love for that? You think the UK fighting against Hitler in 1940 was Germanophobia? Utterly unfit to own a UK newspaper or be a member of the House of Lords.

A new 64-36 majority for Rejoin. “The country knows this but no one in politics, the media or economy is prepared to say the Brexit emperor now has no clothes.” Great piece by ⁦Denis MacShane⁩ theglobalist.com/regretting-bre…

My daughter is 11 and for kids her age, “Brexit” has become a pejorative adjective. So, a kid who comes to football practice with beaten up looking trainers gets them called “Brexit boots”. I don’t think Brexiters consider the degree to which they’ve lost the next generation.

I’m flummoxed by the logic. I represent one of the most car-dependent places in the country, and people here are desperate for the traffic to slow down past their homes and schools. 1/2 theguardian.com/politics/2023/…

So The Green Party now have 4 seats - as many as the revolting Reform party are forecast to get. So why in god’s name is BBC News (UK) rabbiting on about Reform still and not talking about extraordinary Green performance??
