We've introduced a helpful feature into the Amazon EventBridge console that allows you to test a rule against a sample event to see if the rule will be triggered correctly by the event. This should make debugging rules a lot easier!

Yet another reason why real programmers never write their own validators for anything: email addresses, URLs, dates, names, phone numbers, ... Always use a well maintained library

Excited to open source Event Ruler. It's the library that at core of what EventBridge does (rule-matching and more). There's a lot more it can do, and I'm eager to see what the community with do with it.

1/2 Since 2022/01, I’ve been building (& blogging) Quamina, a Go library that implements efficient event-filtering like AWS EventBridge’s. Yesterday: v1.0.0, see tbray.org/ongoing/When/2… Maybe for you if you’re into Go or event-driven SW or optimization.

Last week I wrote about the insane latency improvements in Amazon EventBridge. This week, I'd like to share why this matters for a logistics company like PostNL. medium.com/postnl-enginee…

Super cool blog talking about multi-region architectures from GoDaddy. One of the interesting "features" of EDA is their geographical portability and hitting high availability requirements. aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/how-….
