It is sort of amazing that over half the country wants to rejoin the EU and have another referendum on it in the next five years, but no major party is openly advocating for that to happen. Huge gap for someone to fill.

The problem Labour has is that it's trying to solve an impossible puzzle: how do you get the economy to grow, so you can raise spending and cut tax, without the EU? There is no workable answer. They have to grasp the nettle on Europe or continue sliding slowly down the pan.
