What leaseholders need is the third party rentier structure to be obliterated. No more ground rents, insurance kick backs, opaque energy arrangements, threat of forfeiture. Remove the structure that profits from our homes. Anything else is just performative politics. #Unimpressed

Deluded if they think another bit of legislation will make a difference. All it's ever been, perpetually increasing legislation in an attempt to mitigate the worst abuses of leasehold.

Surely today’s announcement is superfluous? Deputy PM states here “we will abolish the current system (leasehold)” Is that no longer the ambition?
