Tell me youโ€™ve never engaged with fantasy media without telling me youโ€™ve never engaged with fantasy media. Tolkien despised Nazis, Le Guin and Pratchett dismantled power, Miรฉvilleโ€™s a Marxist, Jemisin confronts oppression. Itโ€™s long been used to critique tyranny, not glorify it.
