The UK is a great country with an extraordinary history. Our stagnation is real, but it's fixable and worth fixing. Enjoyed giving this talk at Looking for Growth last week and so encouraged by the optimistic responses I've had from people who are building a brilliant future for Britain 🚀

Here's a longer-term chart. The simple story is correct. Capitalism created Poland's miracle, and socialism created Venezuela's catastrophe.

Some people want to ban billionaires. I love billionaires. They’re the last irrational actors left in capitalism. People don’t appreciate how difficult it would be to fund projects in longevity, space, fusion, etc without family offices and HNWs that can take crazy risks and

I think the best example of this is North vs South Korea. The North stayed communist the whole time. The South liberalized its economy and immediately started peeling away. After Soviet support disappeared, North Korea got even worse and never recovered.

Capitalism is extremely good at mobilizing resources to solve problems if the rewards are clear. Government involvement in healthcare conspires to constantly move the goalposts. No wonder it's much easier to fund AI girlfriends than AI doctors. Talking to companies I work with

'If you live outside New York, your biggest worry should be what effect a landslide win might have on the Democratic Party nationally. If Mamdani crushes Cuomo and Sliwa as seems likely, expect a big push from allies like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D–N.Y.) to revive the worst

I’ve long said Florida is a 30-year project, not a three-year project, and one that will test the brilliance of federalism in ways that will make the Covid experiment look quaint. No matter what happens in New York’s mayoral election, it’s a reminder that where you live

Dear billionaires: next time you’re tempted to speak humbly that you were lucky, instead tell a story about how you worked long, smart and hard. You’ll be doing a favor to every young person who wants to know what it really takes to create at scale.
