Low pay, unfair wage deductions, threats to visas and repeated employment rights abuses have become the norm, because rogue employers are not being held to account. The Home Secretary needs to come good on her pledge to investigate employment practices across the sector.

NHS League tables will not solve the crisis in nursing or our health service. If ministers want to raise standards, they should invest in our profession, not pit staff against one another.
