Excellent NeverMindTheDambusters episode with Ally CG exploring the challenges of veteran testimony. I wonder if the post war moral ambiguity and treatment of bomber command veterans also plays a role?

Mary Brazier🐕‍🦺 NeverMindTheDambusters Thanks. I have no doubt it does. In Steve’s 2003 self published account he has a small chapter titled Unjustly Accused. He defends Harris and goes on to lean on the ‘they did it first’ argument before recounting some of his more dicey experiences in the air.
