Queerness, to me, is friendship - ethically, politically, legally, emotionally. Finding friends isn't easy partly because really believing in friendship - and building a life around it- isn't easy. Our collective fight must be to make it easier, imaginable, even ordinary. (6/7)

Find your people. Find allies. Don't worry too much about losing friends over politics. There are loads of people out there who are decent and friends can be made at any age, any place. I say this from experience. Strong bonds come from trust & integrity, not from shared pasts
