Physical strength is built with weight.

Mental strength is build with responsibility.

Most people end up 50 years old with the emotional maturity of a 15 year old because they never took the risks that force them to grow.

The best decisions I've made are the stupidest.

Maxing out my first credit card at 19 for inventory. Signing the lease on an apartment that I never thought I could afford. Getting rid of everything I own to move to a new state.

I was forced to make it work or be crushed.

If I could go back in time, I would learn:

- Marketing
- Sales
- Persuasion
- Social media
- Writing
- Offer creation

Then turn any of my interests into a business.

My problem was that I was so focused on my interests that I forgot I needed actual people to pay me for them.

If you don't have:

- A vision for the future
- Clarity on how to create it
- Lever-moving tasks to focus on

It's safe to bet that you are lost, building someone else's vision with little control over your day.

You need a plan:

If you can spend 4 years getting a degree to do something you don’t care about you can spend 1 year reeducating yourself to build your own thing. Stop quitting after 2 weeks.

You regain control of your attention when you have a goal.

A real goal. One that you can't stop thinking about. One that turns anything you read, watch, or listen to into ideas you can apply toward that goal.

Meaningful goals turn distraction into discovery.

Most people use learning as a way to feel good about making progress when, in reality, they aren't learning or making progress. If you don't have a project, business, or purpose to apply what you learn, you are lost.

You hate leg day, but you love the gym and seeing your efforts pay off, so you do it anyway.

Few people apply this mindset to their entire life.

They think 'doing what you want' is all enjoyment and no suffering. In reality, it's choosing to suffer for a worthy end goal.

It's not that you don't know what you want. It's that you know what you don't want and are hiding from the work it takes to get away from it.

You know what you want.

Stop lying to yourself.

Front-load your mornings.

Focused work to build your future. The gym to build your body. Reading to build your mind. Nutrition to keep you cerebral.

It's much easier to make good decisions when you are fresh and energetic than it is when you are tired in the afternoon.

I love to walk.

It clears my mind. It burns calories. It keeps me healthy. It removes me from distractions. It gives me time to contemplate meaningful ideas.

I genuinely don't know where my life would be without 1-3 long walks every single day.

You lack ideas because you don't have meaningful conversations with others, yourself, and the books you read.
