A team of researchers Princeton University led by Minjie Chen (Princeton Engineering, Andlinger Center) has been awarded the First Place Prize Paper Award for 2023 in the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics (TPEL). bit.ly/41jh8ad

"The ease of accessing a wide range of data sets across multiple modalities is key for fast adoption and experimentation that will ultimately lead to stronger and more capable AI models," says Princeton University prof of statistical astronomy Peter Melchior (@[email protected]) who took part in the effort 👇

Tom Griffiths (@CoCoSciLab) is daring to #VentureForward shaping the future of #AI research at Princeton University.

New research maps groundwater across North America. Published in Nature Water, findings follow droplets from land surface to depths far below and back up again, emerging up to 100 miles away, after as much as 100,000 years underground. Major implications for drinking water.

While AI researchers focused on creating aesthetic images, Princeton Computer Science prof Adji Bousso Dieng sensed another, important concept was being left overlooked: diversity. Enter the Vendi Score, a metric which can evaluate & promote diversity in generative AI: bit.ly/4jtouhU

.Adji Bousso Dieng has been named one of "10 African Scholars to Watch in 2025" by The Africa Report! 🎉 The list highlights 10 scholars from Africa whose work has had significant impact. Dieng leads Vertaix® and works on AI and the natural sciences. bit.ly/3Cl62Yo

Exciting new work from Ben Raphael and Uthsav Chitra! Using deep learning, they've created an algorithm that constructs a topographical map of gene expression, allowing researchers to determine exactly where particular cells are located in a slice of tissue.🧬

Prof of Princeton Computer Science and Director and co-founder of Google AI, Princeton Elad Hazan is researching a new way of designing neural networks inspired by dynamical systems. “We hope to improve the architectures that underlie current AI" said Elad Hazan: bit.ly/4i5NYQX

Congratulations to Center for Statistics and Machine Learning participating faculty member Jason Klusowski on this prestigious achievement 👏 👏👏

Welcome to the official X for the Princeton Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence (“AI Lab” for short). Our mission is to support and expand the scope of AI research Princeton University Follow our page for the latest updates on events, news, research, and more at the AI Lab

“Reinforcement learning algorithms can learn as efficiently, if not more efficiently, when you tell them to get to a desired configuration on their own." Read about Ben Eysenbach's seminar on his findings on self-supervised RL techniques: bit.ly/42tG91C

.Rafael Pastrana is passionate about computing efficient geometry for architectural structures in order to both reduce cost and carbon footprint. "One of the secret sauces powering the methods I work with to create good shapes is machine learning": csml.princeton.edu/news/rafael-pa…

New research co-led by Princeton Neuroscience Institute's Sebastian Seung promises to accelerate the study of normal brain function: seeing, storing and processing memories, and navigating complex environments. bit.ly/3Yq2Ces

At last week's Princeton University Research Research Day, SML's James Zhang '25 received the Princeton University Library Award for his work exploring how large vision-language models can help generate richer, more expressive metadata Watch his video presentation on his work: mediacentral.princeton.edu/media/Optical%…

Groundwater is being depleted at an alarming rate and it’s long been difficult to model — until now. 💧 High Meadows Environmental Institute and University of Arizona researchers studied groundwater from coast to coast for 3 years and, in turn, created a simulation that maps its journey on a continental scale.
