Latest update of remaining pieces of iceberg A68 lingering around South Georgia. Thanks Laura Gerrish.

Nicely spotted Laura Gerrish.

Update of our #A68a #iceberg tracking map, showing the locations of a, d, e & the newly formed #A68g, officially named by U.S. National Ice Center yesterday. A68d following the 200 m isobath closely. A68e heading off north along the current. We'll monitor the movement of a and g now separated.

Quick update of current #A68 iceberg locations to finish off a Friday afternoon. I hope the letters are all correct, but there's a lot to keep track of now! It looks like E has fractured a lot recently, and A still remains a substantial size at ~770 km² 📸:Copernicus EU.

First clear satellite image confirming the formation of new iceberg (TBC as A74) on the #BruntIceShelf. Copernicus EU #Sentinel2 image from today, showing the rift clearly extending through to open water. British Antarctic Survey 🐧 @BBCAmos

Oldest and newest. A23a and A74 icebergs captured in same Copernicus EU Sentinel-1 image acquired 08-03-2021 00:20:18 UTC. Detail available here - bslmagb.nerc-bas.ac.uk/iwsviewer/?ima…

Amazing amount of Copernicus EU #Sentinel1 imagery received over the last 10 days showing the movement of iceberg #A74 as it calved and moves away from the #BruntIceShelf. The giant berg is now 6-7 km away from the shelf and moving slowly with the currents British Antarctic Survey 🐧

The first Sentinel-1 SAR image of the Brunt Ice Shelf was acquired last night. Thanks to Copernicus EU and ESA Earth Observation. The newly named A81 iceberg (thanks U.S. National Ice Center) continues to move slowly away from the ice shelf.
