Pink really is your colour, Moon! 💗

Although it won’t actually give off a rose-coloured hue, the Pink Moon, named after spring's first blooms, will shine brightly in the sky. It will reach its peak tonight (April 23) at 7:49pm ET.

Two weeks ago, we had the pleasure of admiring a perfect piece of celestial choreography. The next total solar eclipse will sweep across western Canada in 2044.

Great balls of fire ☄️ It’s time for the #Lyrids meteor shower!

It is best viewed in the northern hemisphere, where you are likely to see fast and bright meteors. After moonset and before dawn on April 21 into 22, you may see 10 to 15 Lyrids per hour.

More than 35 million light-years away, NGC 1559 is not part of a galaxy cluster and is far from any other galaxies, making it a true loner.

Take a look at Sentinel-2’s infrared imagery from May 3, 2023 (left) and March 25, 2024 (right) at the conjunction of the Nechako and Fraser rivers in B.C. You can see the difference in water levels, with water surfaces in green and exposed riverbeds in light grey.
